It was the meeting of the Hermiones Wednesday night, as Emma Watson and HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD star Noma Dumezweni met backstage following the performance.
Watson, who took on the role of the young wizard in the HARRY POTTER film franchise, raved about the show, calling it "amazing" and adding, "Having seen it I felt more connected to Hermione and the stories than I have since Deathly Hallows came out, which was such a gift." Previews for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began June 8th with opening performances of Part One and Part Two set to take place on Saturday July 30th.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany. It will receive its world premiere in London's West End at the Palace Theatre this summer and is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
