Emelin Theatre Announces 2009/2010 In Concert, Cabaret and Special Events Series

Donna the Buffalo | $45

Nov 20 @ 8 pm

For over 17 years, Donna the Buffalo has been combining reggae, rock, country, zydeco, Cajun, and folk on top of old-time fiddle music to create a combination that's all their own. The band's powerful communal energy has created an intensely loyal fan base, self-dubbed "The Herd," with a passion for their music akin to The ‘Dead's deadheads.

Danny Aiello | $60; $90*

Dec 12 @ 8 pm

An Oscar nominated film star (Moonstruck, Do the Right Thing), Danny Aiello released his recording debut in 2004, which charted #4 on the Billboard Traditional Jazz Chart. His no-holds-barred live show, much like his acting roles, has garnered much respect and attention from critics and fans alike with The New York Times complimenting, "Mr. Aiello's singing has the bounce of his idols Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and Louis Prima, and the throaty lyricism of another idol, Tony Bennett."

*Special package includes premium seating and reception with Danny Aiello.

Suzanne Vega | $60; $90*

Jan 15 @ 8 pm

Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s. Suzanne's neo-folk style, embodied by her many hits including Tom's Diner, ushered in a new female, acoustic, folk-pop singer-songwriter movement that includes Tracy Chapman, Shawn Colvin, and the Indigo Girls.
*Special package includes premium seating and post-show reception with Suzanne Vega.

In A Toast to Ol' Blue Eyes, Adam sings in his own style, while telling stories about the greatest singer of the 20th century.

Amanda Green | $35

Feb 20 @ 8 pm

Amanda Green is a celebrated performer and the lyricist behind the Broadway musical adaptation of High Fidelity. Her original live revues have sold out off-Broadway venues and clubs throughout New York and prompted The Wall Street Journal to write that "Green is a master of the craft."

Holly Cole | $45

Apr 10 @ 8 pm

Holly Cole imbues eclectic standards and songs with an uncanny combination of sensuality, innocence, originality and sheer musicality. Charting six gold or platinum records over thirteen years, her music features some of the most engaging vocal work in the world of contemporary pop and jazz.
