Tony Award winner Ellen Barkin will star alongside stage and screen star Justin Bartha and Tony Nominee Andrew Rannells in the pilot of NBC's The New Normal, Deadline reports.
The comedy follows a gay couple (Rannells & Bartha) and the woman who becomes their surrogate.
Barkin will play Goldie's grandmother next to Georgia King, who will play Goldie.
Bartha starred as Max in Broadway's recent revival of Lend Me a Tenor, and Barkin played Dr. Emma Brookner in last year's The Normal Heart. Rannells currently plays Elder Price in Broadway's The Book of Mormon and has also performed on Broadway in Hairspray and Jersey Boys.
