A free concert celebrating the release of Over The Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project, a multi-media charity project that includes a two-CD set of original lullabies composed and sung by Broadway's brightest stars, a lavishly-illustrated hardcover book of 17 songs from the album, a corresponding e-book encompassing the entire collection, and a documentary film. The project gathers many of contemporary theater's greatest composers and vocalists, as well as award-winning illustrators and set designers, all of whom donated their talent to this endeavor.

The project will raise money for two respected breast cancer charities, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Young Survival Coalition.  Monday, May 7, 2012. Concert at 8:00 pm at the Stephen Sondheim Theater, 124 West 43rd Street, between Broadway and Avenue of the Americas.

Performances of lullabies by Rupert Holmes, Tom Kitt, Michael John LaChiusa, Robert Lopez, Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz and Maury Yeston will be presented along with excerpts from the documentary film and web series featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the project's creation, produced and directed by Peabody and Emmy-Award winner Barbara Rick of Out of The Blue Films, Inc.

Kate Dawson and Jodi Glucksman, co-executive producers of Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project, have organized this event with the help of fiscal sponsor Public Interest Projects, Inc. Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Edie Falco will act as Master of Ceremonies for the concert. Confirmed performers include Anastasia Barzee, Walter Charles, Jed Cohen, Janet Dacal, Marva Hicks, Nikki M. James, Marc Kudish, Donna Murphy and Caesar Samayoa, with other special guests to be announced.

Grammy-nominee Matt Pierson, who produced the recording, will serve as the musical director for the evening. Musicians slated to perform at the concert include pianist Kevin Hays, percussionist Bashiri Johnson, guitarist Julian Lage and bassist Harish Raghavan.
