Eddie Redmayne has revealed to the BBC that he is in "hardcore singing lessons" ready for his role as Marius in Tom Hooper's movie version of Les Miserables.

He's also revealed that he's not too intimidated about singing the classic Empty Chairs At Empty Tables, saying: "You have to forget all the versions you've heard and deconstruct the song and try to find your own way through it. We'll have to wait and see whether it works or not."

Redmayne is currently starring in Richard II at the Donmar. He is joined in the Les Mis film cast by Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Swift.
