Easton and Ivey Star In 'Home' At Williamstown Starting 8/13
By: Faetra Petillo
The Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the full casting for Home by David Storey. Joining the previously announced Richard Easton (Tony Award Invention of Love, Noises Off) and Dana Ivey (Tony Nominations The Rivals, Butley) are Philip Goodwin (Tartuffe), Roberta Maxwell (Othello, Merchant of Venice) and C.J. Wilson (Festen, Long Day's Journey into Night). Directed by Tony Award-winner Joseph Hardy (Child's Play), Home will play the Main Stage from August 13-24, 2008 and marks the final Main Stage production of WTF's 2008 season.
The design team for Home includes set design by Tobin Ost, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Rui Rita and original music and sound design by John Gromada. The production stage manager is Stephen M. Kaus. In Home, four friends meet in a park to converse about life's events only to slowly reveal the reality of their strange circumstances. Why are they together? How long have they been there? Who else might they encounter along the way? David Storey's mysterious tale provides vast reassurance that life's occurrences will not always be what they seem.Continuing its 54-year history under the artistic direction of Nicholas Martin, Williamstown Theatre Festival hosts award-winning actors, directors and playwrights who join forces to entertain and delight the Berkshire community of year-round and seasonal patrons. In addition to its acclaimed productions, WTF has extensive training and professional development programs for the next generation of actors, writers, directors, designers and managers. In 2002, WTF received the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.Photo Credit Peter James Zielinski
