EXCLUSIVE: Kristin Chenoweth to Sing on DANCING WITH THE STARS

It was announced on this Tuesday night's episode of DANCING WITH THE STARS, that next week's October 24th and October 25th episodes will be 'Broadway Week'.  

The show proclaimed on air that next Monday, the remaining seven contenders will dance to some of the greatest Broadway hits of all time. It was also announced that on Monday night's show, the cast of SISTER ACT would perform, and that the episodes would feature a "big [unnamed] Broadway star".  

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the big, unnamed Broadway star is none other than Tony-winner and BWW fave Kristin Chenoweth. The star is set to perform on BOTH nights of the hit talent show, including Broadway tunes on October 24th, and a song from her popular new album, SOME LESSONS LEARNED on October 25th. We can't wait!

Hosted by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke, DANCING WITH THE STARS challenges well known celebrities to perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodmanand dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

The remaining contestants as of last night's show include David ArquetteChaz BonoNancy GraceRob KardashianRicki Lake, JR Martinez and Hope SoloDANCING WITH THE STARS airs on Mondays 8/7c and Tuesdays, 9/8c on the ABC network.

Born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, actress/songstress Chenoweth goes back to her country music roots with her new album Some Lessons Learned, which was just released on SONY MASTERWORKS. Some Lessons Learned was produced in Nashville by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Peter Gabriel, KISS, Pink Floyd). It features songs by elite pop and country songwriters including Diane Warren, Desmond Child, Tom Douglas, Hillary Scott, Jodi Marr, Victoria Shaw, Dolly Parton, Eric Bazilian, Gary Burr and Shane McAnnally. Chenoweth herself contributed two songs, "What Would Dolly Do?"-- written in honor of her hero Dolly Parton -- and "Mine To Love," about a woman who struggles with an emotionally unavailable man.

Chenoweth has had an extraordinarily diverse career. In November 2010 she was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for her achievements. She won a Tony Award for her role as Sally Brown in the Broadway musical You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and is also celebrated for originating the role of Glinda in Wicked. In 2010, she appeared as Fran Kubelik in Promises, Promises alongside Sean Hayes.

She won an Emmy Award for her performance as Olive Snook in the television dramedy Pushing Daisies. Chenoweth is best known on TV for playing Annabeth Schott in The West Wing, and most recently as April Rhodes in GLEE, a role for which she was Emmy-nominated last year. In that role, she was able to use her multi-faceted voice on covers like "Last Name" (Carrie Underwood) and "Alone" (Heart). This season she reprised her role singing "Dreams" (Fleetwood Mac). She also had her own TV series, Kristin. Her film credits include Bewitched, The Pink Panther, Running With Scissors, Stranger Than Fiction, Four Christmases and RV.

Her debut album Let Yourself Go (2001) centered on show and movie musical classics including the title track, from the 1936 Fred Astaire film Follow the Fleet. It was followed in 2005 by As I Am, an album of Christian music, and in 2008, a holiday album A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas.

Chenoweth documented her life in her 2009 memoir A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, And Faith In Stages. Next, Chenoweth will star as Carlene Cockburn in the new ABC drama series, Good Christian Belles, alongside Leslie Bibb, David James Elliott, and Annie Potts.

DANCING WITH THE STARS is now in its 13th Season and includes a few new surprises, plus all the elements viewers have come to know and love. "Macy's Stars of Dance," which features some of the best choreographers and performers from different styles of dance and offers viewers performances that represent the peak of achievement in their genres, will return on "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show." One of the "Macy's Stars of Dance" performances will be the popular "Design-a-Dance," where fans have the chance to select their favorite professional dancers, dance styles, songs and costumes. New this season is "AT&T's Spotlight Performance," which features and celebrates people whose lives have been changed forever by dance.
