EMH Productions' DOG SEES GOD Raises $300 to Benefit Mustard Seed School

By:

EMH Productions raised $300 to benefit the Mustard Seed School through special ticket sales and exclusive merchandise from its recent production, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead. The dark comedy, an unauthorized portrayal of the Peanuts characters as angst-driven teens by Bert V. Royal, was well received by audiences during its three-week run at The Geery Theatre in February and March, which led to their generous donations.

"Thank you and your production "Dog Sees God." Your generous time and commitment towards our homeless children at Mustard Seed School is a "Blessing" to all of Loaves & Fishes," said Sister Libby Fernandez, Executive Director, Sacramento Loaves and Fishes. "Every dollar that you have raised has become part of our MIRACLE that sustains each child another day. We will be able to provide new backpacks full of many school supplies for new students who come Mustard Seed School due to becoming homeless this Spring. God bless you and all who have contributed to your cause and support for Mustard Seed School!"

"We are so proud of the local theatre community for their support of this organization," said Elise Hodge, Owner, EMH Productions. "Giving back to the community is important to my philosophy and the goals of EMH. Sacramento is a thriving arts center and I am thrilled that those creative forces will benefit the homeless children at Mustard Seed School."

Previous EMH Productions have supported High Hurdles Horsemanship and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Their upcoming production Moving Mountains, showing April 26 - May 19 at The Geery, will benefit The Sacramento Senior Safe House.

Mustard Seed is a free, private school for children 3-15 years old that provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment, a positive learning experience, happy memories, survival resources of food, clothing and shelter referrals, medical and dental screenings, immunization updates, counseling for children and their parents, and assistance entering or reentering public schools.

EMH Productions supports the art of acting, directing, producing and writing through casting director workshops, live theatre productions, film and TV. Its goal is to provide an arena so artists in this industry can network, grow their craft and find support to achieve their dreams. For more information, visit www.emhpros.weebly.com.
