EDUCATING RITA to Play Weston Playhouse's MainStage, 6/25-7/6
Educating Rita, winner of the Olivier Award for Best Comedy, kicks off Weston Playhouse Theatre Company's 77th MainStage season in style. In this warm and witty British comedy, a working class wife with a thirst for knowledge charms a self-loathing professor with a thirst for scotch. When Frank reluctantly agrees to tutor Rita, it puts him on an unexpected path of self-discovery. The electricity between this unlikely pairing is at the heart of Willy Russell's internationally acclaimed comedy.
Weston favorite Geoffrey Wade (Weston's Private Lives, Big River, Fiddler on the Roof) plays the indomitable Frank and Weston newcomer Sarah Manton (Broadway's One Man, Two Guvnors) plays Rita.
Don't miss this limited engagement. Performances are Tuesday, June 25 to Saturday, July 6 on The Playhouse MainStage, 12 Park Street, Weston. All seats for the preview performances on June 25, 26 and 27 are just $35. A select number of VTix are available for all performances for just $25 (while they last -- phone/walk-up orders only.)
Come early, stay late! As always, patrons are encouraged to dine at The Playhouse prior to evening performances at the scenic Cafe at the Falls; and stick around after the show for an hour of music and mayhem, drinks and snacks at Weston's Cabaret.
Tickets are available at The Playhouse Box Office, by telephone at (802) 824-5288, or online. A complete schedule of upcoming shows and events can be found at www.westonplayhouse.org.
