Dundalk Community Theatre Announces CINDERELLA, Closes 5/22

By:

Dundalk Community Theatre concludes its 2010/11 season with the final performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical version of CINDERELLA on May 22. Individual tickets are $22 for adults, $19 for senior adults and $14 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under, for all other performance.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is bestowed with originality, charm and elegance. Standing the test of time, it was originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, breaking viewing records of that time. It was remade in 1965, this time starring Lesley Ann Warren, and renewed a new generation with the concept of dreams-come-true. Again, in 1997, Brandy and Whitney Houston continued the magic of the show. It is a true family classic, sure to please anyone who has ever had a dream.

Memorable songs from the show include: The Prince is Giving a Ball, In My Own Little Corner, Fol-De-Rol, Impossible, Ten Minutes Ago, Stepsister's Lament and Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful.

Director John Amato, IV, Musical Director Madeline Meister/Tim Viets, & Choreographer Tom Wyatt bring this fairytale alive featuring local actors: Amy Luchey (Cinderella), Judi Milgram (Stepmother), Mely Mullin (Ezmerelda), Holly Gibbs (Prunella), Tom Burns (Prince), Gail Bareham (Fairy Godmother), Wayne Ivusich (King), Gary Dieter (Herald), and Marianne Shaughnessy (Queen). There is also a large ensemble.

Show times are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday - May 13-22 in the John E. Ravekes Theatre, K Building. For tickets and information, call 443-840-2787.
