Dr. Seuss' Grinch to Play St. James Theatre November 1 - January 6

Running Subway Productions along with 2-time Tony Award-winning director, Jack O'Brien will bring the critically acclaimed, record-breaking production Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical back to Broadway this holiday season.

Last year, over 200,000 fans enjoyed the limited engagement of The Grinch on Broadway breaking box office attendance records. Enjoyed by audiences of all ages, The Grinch was the perfect family holiday event.

Now, The Grinch returns to the heart of Broadway in the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44th Street. Performances are scheduled to begin November 1st, 2007 and shows will run through January 6th, 2008. Ticket prices range from $25.00 - $111.50 with Premium seating also available. Group tickets on sale now (Group Sales Box Office, 800.223.7565, www.BestofBroadway.com). Tickets will go on sale to the general public in September.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated series. "Max the Dog narrates this classic holiday tale as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small", decides to steal Christmas away from the Whos, an endlessly cheerful bunch bursting  with holiday spirit.  The Grinch is a natural at thieving, even lying to little Cindy-Lou Who about his intentions as he stuffs the family tree, up the chimney, as well as the 'roast beast' feast and every last present up  the chimney.  When the Whos still insist on celebrating Christmas as if the thievery had never occurred, they melt the old miser's heart and, in the end, the Grinch learns that the holidays are not about accumulating presents  but about love and togetherness," state press notes.
