To spruce up New York City with even more greenery this spring, the New York Restoration Project has partnered with leading online charity auction site, charitybuzz.com, for the first annual Earth Day Auction. Available through May 5 at charitybuzz.com/auctions/NYRPEarthDay, the Restore New York City, Restore the Earth Auction offers bidders the chance to spend the day with the organization's founder, Bette Midler or take advantage of one of the many experiences offered for Broadway and off Broadway productions. Highlights, include:

•Meet John Leguizamo backstage after a performance of Ghetto Klown
•Walk-on role on Broadway's Priscilla, Queen of the Desert with four orchestra seat tickets, refreshments backstage and airfare provided by JetBlue
•Meet two-time Tony Award winner, Donna Murphy, backstage after a performance of The People in the Picture
•Enjoy two tickets to three hit shows in New York City: Love, Loss and What I Wore, The Divine Sister and Cactus Flower
•Meet Kathleen Turner after a performance of HIGH on Broadway

"We are thrilled to be partnering with one of New York City's most respected green charities, New York Restoration Project," said Coppy Holzman, charitybuzz CEO and co-founder. "The funds raised through this auction will help fulfill the organization's mission to plant and care for one million trees throughout the five boroughs by 2017."

New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. In partnership with the City of New York, NYRP is also leading MillionTreesNYC - an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees throughout New York City's five boroughs by 2017. In addition this auction, NYRP and charitybuzz have also partnered to raise funds in auctions coinciding with Bette Midler's Hulaween and Spring Picnic events.
