Variety reports that actor Dominic Cooper will be replacing Clive Owen in the upcoming thriller CITIES. According to the report, Owen had pulled out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. Cooper joins previously announced cast members Anil Kapoor, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom on the film which will be directed by Roger Donaldson. Shooting is scheduled to begin in the next few months on location in London, Mumbai and New York.

The movie takes place during a record peak period of the Dow Jones stock market. It will center on "a number of characters around the world - including a police officer in Mumbai and a New York hedge fund manager - as their stories become intertwined."

Cooper is currently filming the Albert Hughes' action film 'Motor City', co-starring Gary Oldman and Amber Heard. He can soon be seen on the big screen opposite Benjamin Walker in 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter', scheduled to be released in theaters on June 22nd.

Dominic Cooper is best known for his lauded performance as Dakin in the critically-acclaimed play, The History Boys, which garnered him both Drama Desk and Evening Standard Award nominations. After reprising the role in the highly-praised film adaptation of The History Boys, Dominic was nominated for the "Best Newcomer Award" by the British Independent Film Awards, "Best Supporting Actor" by the London Film Critics Circle and was named one of Rolling Stone Magazine's "Breakout Performances" for 2006. He also appeared in the film adaptation of the long-running Broadway musical 'Mamma Mia'.
