Dodge Foundation Awards 104 Grants in 2011
The Trustees of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation approved grants totaling nearly $4.4 million in Dodge's second of three grantmaking cycles for 2011. Dodge distributed 104 grants across all areas of the Foundation's interests (arts, education, environment and media); however, the majority of applicants in this cycle represented arts and arts education non-profits and programs and accounted for $2.4 million of the total.
"The Dodge Foundation is proud to be a leading funder of the arts in New Jersey," noted President and CEO Chris Daggett. "These grants reflect our deep and long-standing commitment to the arts, and to robust and transformative arts education opportunities for New Jersey's students."To date this year, the Dodge Foundation has made 187 grants totaling nearly $7.9 million. A third and final cycle of grantmaking for 2011 will take place in late November, with proposal submissions due by September 1st. The Dodge Foundation website: www.grdodge.org contains information on applying for grants as well as complete listings of prior grants.
