Canned Ham is a theatrical memoir detailing Tom's life in all areas of show business: acting in Broadway musicals (Cabaret, 42nd Street) composing music for film & television (Whit Stillman's Metropolitan, Sesame Street) & the work for which he is probably most widely known, appearing in gay adult films as Gus Mattox. Stories & songs are interwoven with visuals & musical numbers to describe a life that is extraordinary, but because the story is bookended by the tale of his
partner's death from AIDS, all too familiar to many. Tom accompanies himself on piano, accordion, trumpet & 9 other instruments--sometimes simultaneously!

Kevin Malony is a director and producer whose work has been seen internationally. He is the founder and artistic director of TWEED TheaterWorks, a forerunner in the downtown New York arts community for twenty years. He produced The TWEED New Works Festival from 1986-1996, which presented the early work of many of today's renowned theater artists, including Tom Judson. He produced John Epperson's first theatrical engagement The Many Moods of Lypsinka in 1987, and since that time has directed Lypsinka around the world. He was the original producer of Bill Russell's Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, which ran on London's West End and directed Paved Paradise, John Kelly's homage to Joni Mitchell. He regularly directs The Tweed Fractured Classicks Series which presents performances of classic plays and movies featuring unique casting choices.
