Denver Center Theatre Company Hosts First Town Hall Meeting, 10/1

The Denver Center Theatre Company will host its first Town Hall Meeting at the Tattered Cover Book Store in LoDo on Saturday, October 1 from 10am-5pm in conjunction with the opening of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. The meeting will bring together regional and local leaders, artists and academia in discussion with the community to expand the dialogue on the issue of race in America.
The Town Hall Meeting consists of a series of conversations on the impact of the book and its implications in our world. An impressive lineup of panelists will include DCTC Artistic Director Kent Thompson, To Kill a Mockingbird director Sabin Epstein, activist Harold Fields, great-grandson of W.E.B. Du Bois Arthur McFarlane, author of Wade in the Water Arthur Jones and Dr. Vincent Harding who draftEd Martin Luther King's famous anti-Vietnam speech A Time to Break Silence.
