DeLaria Performs and Bernhard Guests at Zipper December 8
The Zipper Factory (336 West 37th Street) is pleased to present trailblazing diva Lea Delaria in concert on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. In a very special Christmas show, DeLaria fronts with her swinging quintet under the musical direction of the eminent pianist and composer Janette Mason, performing a scintillating repertoire of witty festive favorites, classic torch songs, up-tempo jazz standards and soulful ballads. Her special guest for the evening is Sandra Bernhard.
Lea Delaria has appeared on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show and On the Town. Off-Broadway credits include Little Fish and The Vagina Monologues. She also appeared in Li'l Abner for Encores!, the Broadway Actors' Fund Concert of Hair, and Cinderella for the New York City Opera. She has also appeared in the National Tour of Chicago as Matron Mama Morton.
Sandra Bernhard has been performing her solo shows on and off Broadway, including Everything Bad and Beautiful, I'm Still Here . . . Damn It and Without You I'm Nothing.
