As part of its 15th anniversary celebration, Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York welcomes New York City's most innovative cultural leaders for a panel discussion on diversity in the performing arts.
Participating will be: Katy Clark, President of the Brooklyn Academy of Music; Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, where HAMILTON began; Niegel Smith, Artistic Director of the Obie award-winning The Flea Theater, and David Henry Hwang, the Tony Award-winning author of M. BUTTERFLY, who will be moderating the panel.
The May 12th panel will explore how these leading organizations are working to improve diversity on both sides of the footlights: among artists, audiences, and the administrators who make the decisions behind the scenes.
The event will take place at Macaulay tonight, May 12, 2016 at 35 West 67th Street, from 6pm-7pm. It is free and open to the public; RSVP here: macaulay.cuny.edu/event/registration/?ee=59.
