Reichard, who created the role of Bob Gaudio in the Original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys and currently tours with the vocal group, "The Midtown Men," will play the iconic jazz club for three consecutive nights, December 17th, 18th, and 19th.
"This has been a stressful and challenging year in our country," Reichard states. "With everything we see on the news in an increasingly fast-paced world, it is hard to imagine getting into the holiday spirit this December. Fortunately, I have lots of practice at celebrating Christmas. Over the past decade in New York City, creating my yearly holiday show has become an extremely uplifting experience for me. For this year's show, I want to share words of wisdom on what to do, and what not to do, to find comfort and joy at the end of the year. This is my guide to Christmas."
The evening of stories and songs promises an eclectic musical program, featuring lively arrangements of Christmas classics, Hanukkah favorites, and romantic treasures from the Great American Songbook. Reichard will be backed by a full band of first-rate musicians. Jesse Vargas will musically direct and write musical arrangements. "Guide to Christmas" is written by Daniel Reichard, Patrick McCollum, and Mark Noonan, and is directed by Patrick McCollum.
Daniel Reichard made his New York City debut after graduating from the University of Michigan in the world-famous Forbidden Broadway. His signature style paved the way to starring roles in NYC and beyond, including his portrayal of artist and social activist Keith Haring in Radiant Baby at The Public Theater. Other major credits include starring in the title role of the New York City Opera's Candide, the film version of the musical, FOREVER PLAID, and the Original Cast of Jersey Boys. With his Jersey Boys co-stars, he created the vocal group, "The Midtown Men," which has played over 600 concerts worldwide, recorded two albums and two public television specials. As a solo artist, he has played dozens of sold-out engagements throughout New York City at clubs including Birdland, Feinstein's/54 Below, Ars Nova, the Metropolitan Room, Stage 72, the Alvin Ailey Theatre, and Joe's Pub.
