The Daryl Roth D-Lounge will host The BREASTival:  A Gift-Raiser of Oncologic Proportions on Monday, December 13, 2010. The BREASTival is a fundraiser for singer/songwriter Mimi Ferraro's medical expenses following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2006.  While her prognosis is excellent, her financial situation is not.  In order to continue on her path as a working actor, she is asking for the help of her community to raise money to offset these medical costs.

The event will feature performances by Mimi Ferraro (Rent, The Donkey Show), Broadway talent and rock singer/songwriters - including Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), Sheri Sanders (Screams of Kitty Genovese, Urinetown, Rock the Audition), Leah Gerstel (Big Gay Italian Wedding), Anne Fraser Thomas, Vicky Modica, LaDonna Burns (Rent, Seussical), Matt McMahan, Samia Mounts (Les Miserables, Once Upon a Time in New Jersey) and
Chris Wade.   The evening is produced by Jackie Covas and Joe Barros.  Direction is by Antonio Vargas with Musical Direction by Jess Stewart.

Mimi will also premiere three songs from her new rock/soul musical which tells the stories of young adults affected by cancer (it's not as depressing as it sounds - really).  In addition to the live performances, there will be a raffle - raffle prizes include coaching sessions with top New York theater teachers, dance classes, restaurant gift certificates, and clothing items from high-end designers.  Sponsors include A*VOYCE, Maisonette 1977,Jen Waldman Studio,Chelsea Costa Coaching, Sfoglia Restaurant, Jason Marquette at Broadway Dance Center and more.

The D-Lounge is located at 101 East 15th St. at Union Square East in NYC.  Doors open at 7pm and performances begin at 7:30pm.  Tickets can be purchased at the door:  $25 suggested donation; $50 if you wear pink.  Mimi has partnered with The Pink Daisy Project (www.pinkdaisyproject.com) for this event, and all donations made will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
