Today, June 23, Danielle Brooks will stop by the 9 - 10 am hour of NBC's TODAY to discuss the new season of her hit Netflix series"Orange Is the New Black" and making her Broadway debut in the Tony winning musical The Color Purple.

Danielle Brooks was recently nominated for a 2016 Tony for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her role as Sofia in The Color Purple. Brooks is best known for her role as Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson in Netflix's Emmy-nominated series, "Orange is the New Black" which is currently in production on its fourth season. Brooks and her cast received a SAG Award in 2014 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Danielle was the recipient of the Young Hollywood Award for BREAKTHROUGH Actress.
Jonathan Groff was recently nominated for a 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his role as King George III in HAMILTON
The actor recently starred in the HBO series LOOKING and will soon appear in David Fincher's upcoming MINDHUNTER series on Netflix. Groff's other TV credits include THE NORMAL HEART, GLEE and BOSS. He also voiced the role of 'Kristoff' in Disney's animated mega-hit FROZEN and its follow-up short FROZEN FEVER.
Aside from his role as 'King George III' in Broadway's HAMILTON, Groff has recently taken the stage in Encores! Off-Center's A NEW BRAIN. He is well known for starring in the original cast of SPRING AWAKENING. Among Groff's other stage credits are IN MY LIFE on Broadway, THE SUBMISSION, THE SINGING FOREST and PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY off-Broadway, and DEATHTRAP in the West End.
