DOUGLASPLUS Series Allows For Affordable Theater-Going
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Culver City's Kirk Douglas Theatre will offer a new series called DouglasPlus. These lower-priced, limited-run performances of work are in varying stages of development.
Productions take place on stage, in the lobby, and in the rehearsal rooms. Seating will change with each show to meet the needs to individual productions. The series will run March 14 through April 18 and will include fully staged and minimally staged events, workshops and readings.
Tickets to the productions will cost $20, with general-admission seating.
The first presentation of DouglasPlus will be a youth theater piece called "Darwin," a family show created by Corbin Popp and Ian Carney.
Tickets: $20. (213) 628-2772.
