DMAC-Duo Multicultural Arts Center Artistic Director Michelangelo Alasa' announces on the closing week of All About Meat (The Garcias) and Confessions of a Cuban Sex Addict that both shows will return and play in repertory beginning February 7th, 2013 for a minimum of four weeks through March 2nd, 2013.
Both downtown successes have been running at the legendary Duo Theater (62 East 4th St) since the Spring of 2012, to packed houses and satisfied audiences.
"All About Meat (The Garcias) is a worthwhile, hilarious, albeit intense foray into the world of outrageous farce... it has uniformly fine performances by a relentlessly spirited cast. Writer/director/player Michelangelo Alasá might be said to be attempting to meld the style of Pedro Almodovar with that of John Waters (with a good helping of vaudeville slapstick)." -Jay Reisberg, CultureCatch
"[Confessions of a Cuban Sex Addict] the true stories of writer/director/producer Michelangelo Alasa', the experience is voyeuristic and thrilling in a way that illusory theater often cannot emulate. Confessions is a treat for an adult audience who appreciate truth-seeking, an emotionally naked look at a skilled artist willing to expose both his greatest assets and most raw relationships." -Shane Reader (East Village Arts)
CONFESSIONS OF A CUBAN SEX ADDICT returns Thursdays at 8pm through Feb 28th, 2013. ALL ABOUT MEAT (THE GARCIAS) returns Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm through March 2nd, 2013.
Cast for both shows will soon be announced.
Tickets to All About Meat (The Garcias) are $20. Tickets to Confessions of a Cuban Sex Addict are free. Advance tickets will soon be on sale on SmartTix.com
