On October 25th, George De Marco, Frank Evans and Jack Lechner will present a staged reading of the new musical DATE OF A LIFETIME, book and lyrics by Carl Kissin and music by Robert Baumgartner, Jr.
Jeremy Dobrish (Rated P… for Parenthood, Signs of Life, Baby Case) directs the cast comprised of Farah Alvin (The Last Smoker in America, Drama Desk Nominee for The Marvelous Wonderettes) and David Josefsberg (The Wedding Singer, Grease, Les Miserables). Lisa Dozier King (Sistas the Musical, Bronte) is the general manager.
DATE OF A LIFETIME first premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2011, where it garnered two awards for excellence. Marvin and Katie meet at speed dating. During their eight minutes together, Marvin imagines an entire lifetime with Katie -- then she does the same. Will this be a date from hell, or the date of a lifetime?
