In the first round, the couples will perform a traditional ballroom dance in a Style that they've not yet done. In the second round, the couples will dance as part of a trio, featuring an eliminated pro or troupe member. In addition, viewers will be called to action on Twitter to choose new dance styles for each couple for The Following week of competition. Jason Derulo has become an international phenomenon -- selling over 14 million tracks with almost 10 billion in cumulative radio audience and nearly 700 million views on his
Youtube channel -- due to a string of Top 10 singles, "Watcha Say," "In My Head," "Ridin' Solo," "Don't Wanna Go Home" and "It Girl." After spending a year recovering and recording following a freak accident, the singer-songwriter is back with his latest single, "The Other Side," which has become the No. 1 most added record at Top 40 this year and the 2nd fastest most-added record in the history of the format. His third album will be out this fall.
With her album "Our Version of Events," Emeli Sandé smashed The Beatles' chart record for the most consecutive weeks in the UK's Official Albums Chart Top 10 of any debut album, according to the Official Charts Company. The album has spent 63 weeks in the Top 10, including 10 weeks at No. 1. The 26-year-old Scottish singer was the only artist to perform at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics. People hailed "Our Version of Events" as one of the year's best debuts, and The New York Times called it "unerringly beautiful." "Next to Me," her multi-format
SMASH single, has sold more than 500,000 copies in the U.S., and the accompanying video has more than 30 million views. The three-time BRIT Award winner has contributed tracks to the films "Trance" and "The Great Gatsby," and written songs for such artists as
Alicia Keys, Rihanna,
Leona Lewis and
Susan Boyle.
Hosted by
Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and
Brooke Burke-Charvet ("Dancing with the Stars" Season 7 champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned ballroom judge
Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers
