Cyndi Lauper & Dr. John to Appear at BergenPAC, 10/15
Cyndi Lauper and Dr. John will be performing live at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in their first tour together October 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $99, $79, $69, $49. Lauper's hits include "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," "Money Changes Everything," "All Through The Night," "Change of Heart," "True Colors" and "Time After Time." Dr. John's his include "Right Place Wrong Time" and "Iko Iko."
Lauper rose to fame with breakout girl power anthem "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Her fun upbeat sound drew in audiences. She sold over five million copies of her debut album. Lauper was the first female artist to have four top five songs on one album. Over the span of her career she has released 11 albums and 40 singles and sold over 30 million albums.
Dr. John was in the music world since the 1950s, but it was not until the 1970s when he began to receive real recognition. The Grammy winner has a distinct memorable voice and his music influential in both jazz and popular music genres. His first solo hit was in 1973 with "In the Right Place."
These two unique voices are going to come to together and put a very special show. These iconic artists shaped an era with their vocal talents. They will not disappoint.
