Coral Gables' New Theatre ReNews Address

By:

Coral Gables' celebrated New Theatre is NOT changing its home.  The New Theatre had been planning to change locales beginning with its 2006-7 season.  This was part of a larger plan that would have associated New Theatre with Miami's struggling Coconut Grove Playhouse.

After several months of negotiations, New Theatre announces that it will be presenting its 2006 – 2007 season in its current home at 4120 Laguna Street where it has mounted presentations for the past five years.   New Theatre continues in the beautiful City of Coral Gables where it began twenty years ago.

The 2006 – 2007 season will be lead by their new Artistic Director Ricky J. Martinez and Managing Director Eileen Suarez.  Their new seasons begins in August with their Shakespeare Festival, followed by a season of 5 plays, 3 having their World premiere and 2 having their Florida premiere. Flexible Subscription passes are now available by calling the box office at 305 443-5909 or by visiting their website at www.new-theatre.org.
