Constantine Maroulis and Angel Reed Welcome Child

Constantine Maroulis told People Magazine the exciting news that her, and former Rock of Ages co-star, Angel Reed, welcomed their first child, Malena James on Thursday, December 23rd.

"Sometimes Christmas comes early and we're so lucky to get the greatest gift a few days early," Maroulis tells PEOPLE. "Angel and I are thrilled to welcome our perfect baby girl into the world today. Mom and baby are healthy and I couldn't be more excited to ring in 2011 this way."

'It's a beautiful thing,' Constantine Maroulis told PEOPLE earlier this year. 'It's part of life,' says the 2005 Idol alum, as he walked the red carpet Sunday at CC Sabathia's 30th birthday party at New York's 40/40 Club with his girlfriend (and mother of his baby-to-be),Angel Reed - whom Maroulis met last year while the two were starring in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages."

Constantine James Maroulis is an American rock singer, actor, and writer from Wyckoff, New Jersey. He was the sixth-place finalist on the fourth season of the reality television series American Idol, and lead vocalist of the hard rock band Pray for the Soul of Betty. He received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his role in Rock of Ages.
