Complete casting has just been announced for the new production of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella, which begins performances in January on Broadway. Cinderella will perform at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd St).
On Thanksgiving Day, Novmember 22, Laura Osnes as Cinderella, Santino Fontana as The Prince and Tony winner Victoria Clark as Fairy Godmother Marie, along with 16 members of the Cinderella chorus will perform a medley from the musical during the 9 a.m. hour of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, broadcast on NBC-TV. One of the highlights of the performance will be the debut of Cinderella's ball gown, designed by five-time Tony Award winner William Ivey Long.
Joining the previously announced cast of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella will be Phumzile Sojola (The Gershwin's PORGY & BESS, THREE MO' TENORS) in the role of Lord Pinkleton. Members of the ensemble include Jill Abramovitz, Kristine Bendul, Heidi Giberson, Stephanie Gibson, Shonica Gooden, Kendal Hartse, Robert Hartwell, Laura Irion, Andy Jones, Andy Mills, Linda Mugleston, Peter Nelson, Nick Spangler, Cody Williams, Branch Woodman and Kevin Worley. Swings are Drew Franklin, Adam Jepsen, Alessa Neeck and Kirstin Tucker.
Written for television in 1957 by the legendary musical theatre duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, this new production of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella, in fact, marks the Broadway premiere for the beloved romantic musical.

The musical is directed by Mark Brokaw. Josh Rhodes is choreographer. Music adaptation, supervision and arrangements are by David Chase. Andy Einhorn is music director and conductor.
