Common Ground Theatre Releases Calendar of Events for January 2010

Common Ground Theatre is a performance and teaching space located in west Durham, offering performing arts and educational groups a flexible, well-equipped alternative space. The Theatre provides a convenient venue for Triangle audiences to experience the diversity of our area's arts and educational offerings. All events listed will be held at Common Ground Theatre. The Theatre is hosting the following events in January, 2010:

A.D.D. Theater Presents: Misery Loves Comedy

A night of skits, improv, standup and other stuff.
Sunday, December 27th at 7:00 p.m. & Saturday, January 2nd at 8:00 p.m.

Ghost & Spice Productions Presents: Prelude to a Kiss by Craig Lucas

Enchanting, bewitching, mysterious. This charming and highly original fantasy comedy, by contemporary master playwright and Tony Award winner Craig Lucas, explores the wonder and confusion of love. After a whirlwind courtship and storybook wedding, a young couple's life is abruptly changed by a mysterious elderly man's kiss. Craig Lucas propels his audience through an extraordinary and thrilling modern day fairy tale.

Transactors Improv Presents: City of Medicine

Join us for our third season of this completely improvised serial medical drama. Inspired by Grey's Anatomy and E.R., this real-life drama is set at Bull City Medical Center, Durham's newest teaching hospital. Each show the cast is joined by a special guest who is either saved or killed by our doctors. Don't miss a single episode! City of Medicine: Where who you heal is not nearly as important as whose heart you steal.

FATE Presents: BriarPatch and FAIT Accompli

FATE's youth improv troupe BriarPatch, and the adult troupe, FAIT Accompli, come together for another performance to kick off the new improv year! Come out for short and new forms, highlighting New Year's resolutions, a preview of a new episodic form, and some audience participation!
