Magic Theatre, the premiere home for new plays, announces its 2007-08 Season of six world premiere productions. Opening September 2007 and running through June 2008, the season brings together Magic Theatre veterans and Bay Area newcomers with a compelling mix of theatrical storytelling.
Subscriptions and pass memberships are available for Magic Theatre's 2007-2008 Season. Six-play subscriptions range from $120 to $240 with flexible six-ticket passes from $144 to $264. Under-30 theatregoers can take advantage of the 3/30<30 membership and see three plays for only $30. All subscriptions are on sale now at www.magictheatre.org and 415-441-8822.

Five chimps in an HIV-research lab prove immune despite repeated injections of the live virus but why? Ava, the new head of the lab, must solve the mystery before her funding is cut to find a breakthrough vaccine. This daring new comedy explores the lengths people go to fight for what they believe in.

The Homecoming - Closing - 4/13/2008
The 40th Anniversary revival of Harold Pinter's Tony Award-winning masterpiece The Homecoming, starring Golden Globe Award-winner Ian McShane, two-time Tony-nominee Raúl Esparza and Academy Award-nominee Michael McKean, under the direction of Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan.
Performances begin on Friday, November 23rd. The production will open Sunday, December 9th at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) for a 20-week limited engagement thru Sunday, April 13th.
"Pinter's most sexually provocative work, The Homecoming is an edgy and compelling tale of lust, betrayal and seduction, telling the story of a dysfunctional family that welcomes the homecoming of its estranged brother and competes for the attention of his dangerously alluring wife," state press materials.
The New Century - 4/14/2008
Lincoln Center Theater has announced initial casting for its upcoming production of The New Century, plays by Paul Rudnick, to be directed by Nicholas Martin. Performances begin Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night is Monday, April 14, 2008.
