'LOVE, LOSS...', Starring Chenoweth, Daly & More, Plays Limited Run Off-Bwy; Tickets On Sale - 12/13/2009

Following a series of sold-out readings last spring, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, will play a 12-week run at New York's Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street). Preview performances will begin on September 21, 2009, with the opening night set for October 1. The announcement was made today by producer Daryl Roth.

Italy's Dario D'Ambrosi, a radical innovator of the theater and founder of the movement called Teatro Patologico (Pathological Theater), will stage a novel version of "Romeo and Juliet" at La MaMa. The production opens on December 3rd and runs through December 13th.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, will present its popular annual open rehearsal series with MONDAY NIGHT MUCH ADO, featuring Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin as Benedict in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing on Monday, December 7 and Monday, December 14, directed by Brian Kulick. Patinkin appeared last season at CSC in Shakespeare's The Tempest, directed by Kulick.

Liv Ullman Talks Streetcar at Paley Center - 12/14/2009

Liv Ullmann, living legend of cinema and theater, has just directed a production of A Streetcar Named Desire that stars Cate Blanchett and opens at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in November. While Ullmann was preparing that production, a documentary, The Sealed Orders of Liv Ullmann, captured her mentoring young actors through scenes from this same Tennessee Williams play. The Paley Center will premiere this film by four-time Academy Award nominees Kirk Simon and Karen Goodman, on December 14 at 6:30pm at The Paley Center for Media.
