SUPERHAPPYMELANCHOLYEXPIALIDOCIOUS Plays United Solo Festival - 10/27/2012

Following on the coat tails of his award-winning one-man show Losing My Religion: Confessions of a New Age Refugee, Seth Lepore continues with the second part of his trilogy on the underbelly of the self-help movement. SuperHappyMelancholyexpialidocious turns the happiness industry on its head to unearth the farcical ideology of the positive thinking movement.

Broadway star Marla Mindelle's (Cinderella, Sister Act) short film The Devil's Bitch has been named as an official selection in the 2012 Friar's Club Comedy Film Festival. Mindelle stars in the darkly comic musical short, which she co-created with Jonathan Parks-Ramage, New York based writer/producer.

Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble, one of New York's longest-running experimental theatres, opens its production of Fifty Million Frenchmen next week, with music and lyrics by the great Cole Porter and book by Herbert Fields. Previews are set for Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. Opening night is Saturday, Oct. 27 and the closing performance is on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. Soho Playhouse and N+N Productions Open 'DANNY VISCONTI IS HILL-BENT' - 10/27/2012

The Soho Playhouse and N+N Productions present "Danny Visconti is HILL-BENT: My Night with Hillary Clinton". Open-ended performances will begin Saturday, October 27th and continue every Saturday evening at 8:00pm at The Huron Club, 15 Vandam Street, New York, NY. A special kick-off event will take place on Monday, October 22nd with a debate party at 9:00pm and a performance at 10:30pm. All tickets are $20 for general admission seating. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Through the Yellow Hour, a play written and directed by Adam Rapp (Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter). The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place—off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.
