DIVORCE THE MUSICAL: BETTER MAD THAN SAD ClosesWorkshop At Triad Theatre - 10/13/2012

Former St. Louisan Ruthe Ponturo stars in DIVORCE THE MUSICAL: BETTER MAD THAN SAD in New York City, along with Parkway Central alum Emily Peterson and Lindsay Naas. Parkway Central alum Dana Wilson is also part of the cast. The workshop production opens Sept. 28 and was co-written and produced by Ponturo.

Stage and screen stars Bebe Neuwirth and Malcolm Gets will join forces Saturday, October 13 for BUCKS COUNTY CABARET, a one-night-only concert to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The evening of Broadway standards and other popular songs will be held at the newly renovated, historic Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA (70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA 18938).

Opalescent Productions Presents UNTYING LOVE, 10/13-11/4 - 10/13/2012

Opalescent Productions has announced Untying Love, a new drama about the end of life and letting go by Peggy Willens to run at TADA! Theater, 15 West 28th Street, NYC from October 13 to November 4, 2012. Emma Berrydirects a cast of eight to be announced shortly. AEA Showcase, pending approval.

OBIE and Drama Desk Award-winning Transport Group brings you the world Premiere of HOUSE FOR SALE, the first of any work by National Book Award novelist and Pulitzer finalist Jonathan Franzen (FREEDOM, THE CORRECTIONS) to be presented on stage. The show will play The Duke on 42nd Street (229 West 42nd Street, Times Square, NYC), beginning previews October 13, 2012, opening on October 24, 2012 and running through November 18, 2012.

Sony Pictures will debut exclusive first looks at the upcoming films CARRIE and EVIL DEAD at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 13th from the Javits Center.

Media At Large Brings IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL Revival to New World Stages - 10/13/2012

Media At Large Productions has announced that it will present a unique revival of Tennessee Williams' IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL. The play will run off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) with previews beginning on Saturday, October 13th and continue until Sunday, October 28th. The production will have it's official opening on Wednesday, October 17th at 8PM. This distinctive revival, co-directed by Shashi Balooja and Maria Torres will be the first to incorporate live streaming video and dance. Maria Torres will also choreograph.
