Paul F. Tompkins can be seen weekly as the host of VH1's Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins. His career started with a stint as a writer and performer on HBO's Mr. Show with Bob & David where he was nominated for an Emmy award for writing. Paul also wrote and starred in his own one-man show, Driven to Drink, for HBO. Paul's stand-up has been featured on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central presents Paul F. Tompkins, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. Paul's television and film credits include Magnolia, The Peter Principle, Dag, Fraiser, The Sketch Show, Anchorman, Tenacious D & the Pick of Destiny movie, Weeds, Sarah Silverman Program, Help Me Help You, Lewis Black's Root of All Evil, & There Will Be Blood.
Longmont, Colorado native Kristen Schaal can most recently be seen as obsessive fan, Mel, on HBO's Flight of the Conchords. She has won the award for Best Alternative Comic at HBO's 2006 United States Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. She also is the winner of the 2nd annual Andy Kaufman Award hosted by the New York Comedy Festival as well as the winner of the 2006 Nightlife Award in New York for best female stand-up. Her film and television credits include Mad Men, Human Giant, Ugly Betty, Comedy Central's Freak Show, Live at Gotham, Six Degrees, Conviction, Kate and Leopold, Adam and Steve, Delirious, Law and Order: SVU, and Comedy Central's Contest Searchlight.
