Claybourne Elder, Karen Ziemba, and More Set for BEYOND THE MUSIC Lab, 1/29

Rob Bartlett (How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying), Katie Rose Clarke (Wicked), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde) and Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Curtains) are set to star in an upcoming industry lab presentation of the new musical, BEYOND THE MUSIC, in January 2013. BEYOND THE MUSIC features a book by Andy Sandberg, music and lyrics by Cliff Downs and Katie Kahanovitz, and direction by Sandberg, with choreography by AC Ciulla and music supervision and arrangements by Fred Lassen.

The cast will also feature Eric Anderson, Shelby Bartelstein, Angela Brydon, Jarid Faubel, John Hemphill, Ryan Koss, Kathleen Rooney, Casey Lee Ross, Laura L. Thomas, Mariand Torres and Alex Wyse, with additional casting to be announced.

BEYOND THE MUSIC follows the journey of Casey, a fast-rising singer/songwriter, as she struggles to find success in the music business. Ready to risk it all, Casey sacrifices her personal life for her career, but on the verge of her first big break, she is betrayed by those she trusts. Now, in order to reclaim her dreams, she must look inside herself as she navigates the treacherous waters of the music business and reconnects with those she left behind.

The industry-only presentations of BEYOND THE MUSIC will take place on Monday, January 28th and Tuesday, January 29th in New York.
