Cissy Houston To Sing At Kosher Gospel Extravaganza At SWFS

King's Legacy and Obama's Inauguration Unite this historic MLK Day at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue. Celebrate with the Prince of Kosher Gospel Joshua Nelson & 2 time Grammy Award winning R & B singer Cissy Houston. Also featuring an exclusive interview with "Obama's Rabbi" Capers Funnye Jr. and Haim Handwerker, Haaretz correspondent and SWFS congregant.

This event will take place MLK Day, Monday January 19, 6:30pm.

This is a most exciting program, featuring both the incredibly talented and engaging performer, Joshua Nelson, "The Prince of Kosher Gospel," and the legendary Gospel and R&B singer, Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney Houston.

And as if this weren't enough, we have also been blessed with the presence of an important Jewish Obama relative, Rabbi Capers Funnye Jr., a prominent rabbi from Chicago and close relative of Michelle Obama, who will also participate in an interview with Haim Handwerker, Haaretz correspondent and SWFS member.
