Cirque Dreams Illumination Lights Up the Van Wezel 4/19
The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall just added another fabulous show to their 2010-2011 Season! The all new Cirque Dreams Illumination will be presented Tuesday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.
From the creators of Broadway's groundbreaking Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy and this winter's hit Cirque Holidaze, comes the all new Cirque Dreams Illumination! Illumination uses Cirque Dreams' infamous blend of imagination, theatrical innovation, and breathtaking presentation to create a story that illuminates a city of everyday people, workers and pedestrians into feats of disbelief. Marvel as 27 world-class artists use urban acrobatics, stunning choreography, and brilliant illusions to reinvent the occurrences of everyday life. They will leap structures, redefine flight, and balance on wires. The performance is ignited by special effects and an original score of jazz, salsa, ballroom, pop and trendy street beats. Cirque Dreams Illumination is "dazzling...a reason to stand up and cheer" according to the New York Daily News. "Each time you think you've seen it all, well, you haven't" hails the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. "If you want lively and highly skilled entertainment that multiple generations will surely enjoy, prepare for Illumination" says the Chicago Tribune.
