Cielo Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary with 10 Special Events, Jan 2013

Ten years ago Cielo opened its doors to New York's coterie of clubbing elite - a discerning and dedicated crowd. Not only has it survived, it has thrived. Now in 2013 Cielo stands as the premier model for an intimate, music driven nightclub. A pioneer not only in New York City, the club is also recognized internationally. Cielo quickly established itself as a leading club for electronic music aficionados by winning more awards than any other venue in U.S. history. In its second decade, Cielo continues to forge an uncompromised program of cutting-edge electronic music by adding new, up-comers to its already well-rounded roster of resident and guest DJs - a list longer than any other club in North America.

Beginning on January 10th, Cielo celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a series of 10 special events throughout the month of January with an array of globally recognized artists.

Cielo recently won top honors for #1 Best Sound System in North America by Beatport. Funktion One - the legendary UK sound system pioneers - showcased their first North American installation at Cielo and continue to perfect an already perfect sound environment each weekend. Like a recording studio, foam tubing handsomely upholstered in retro brown and beige suede maximizes Cielo and its Funktion One's sound quality. These design and sound engineering elements combined with its amber wall lighting, sunken dancefloor and innovative lighting system all distinguish it as a leading boutique nightclub.

Cielo has always nurtured long-standing residencies such as Little Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge's Roots, Willie Graff and Cielo owner Nicolas Matar's Paradizo, Tedd Patterson's Vibal, and Francois K's Deep Space parties.
