Christmas is Miles Away marks 2009 Susan Smith Blackburn winner, Chloe Moss' official US debut. Directed by Geordie Broadwater, Christmas is Miles Away is presented by Babel Theatre Project (Geordie Broadwater, Artistic Director, Jeremy Blocker, Producing Director) as they continue their 4th season. Christmas is Miles begins performances on May 1, opening May 4 and will run through May 23, 2009 at the Connelly Theatre (220 East 4th Street). For Christie, Luke and Julie, time just won't stand still. The eighties turn into the nineties, foreign wars loom but with your walkman and The Smiths, at least there's a soundtrack. In the US Premiere of her critically acclaimed play, Christmas is Miles Away, Chloe Moss takes on the inevitable and involuntary process of growing up, and asks: can you do it together, or does everyone grow up alone?
Christmas Is Miles Away was presented at The Royal Exchange in Manchester as well as the Bush in London were critics exclaimed: "Moss displays a sure grasp of the difficulties of growing up, and writes with intelligence and compassion."
