Cheyenne Jackson, James Barbour, Stephanie J. Block et al. Set for 'Broadway by the Year' 10th Anniversary Season at The Town Hall

The Town Hall, New York's landmark concert venue will present the 10th Anniversary Season of the Broadway By The Year® series, created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall.

Broadway By The Year® celebrates its 10th year by taking the audience on a musical journey through the best of the Great White Way, featuring show-stopping numbers as well as lesser-known gems and little-known facts and humor about our favorite shows. The NY Times called the series "an event that is treasured by Broadway babies." This season's shows will include the Broadway musicals of 1927, 1948, 1966 and a special concert featuring songs from shows from 1990-2010.

"It is our intention to make this 10th Anniversary season as special and memorable as possible," said Siegel. "To that end, we are assembling casts for each of our four concerts that will make each one a must-see event for any and every fan of Broadway musicals. We have cast a combination of Broadway regulars, as well as the stars, who are currently carrying Broadway shows. For our final show for this season on June 14th, we will do something we've never done before: perform one song from one show for every single year of Broadway musicals from 1990 to 2010, highlighting 21 great show tunes.

Below is a list of this season's Broadway By The Year® concerts:

Monday, February 22 at 8PM - BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1927
MUSICALS OF 1927 will include music from Showboat, Rio Rita, Hit the Deck!, Ziegfeld Follies of 1927, Good News and more sung by the great talents of Broadway and cabaret.

Monday, March 22 at 8PM - BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1948
MUSICALS OF 1948 will feature songs from Kiss Me, Kate, Love Life, Where's Charley?, My Romance, Lend an Ear and more.

Monday, May 10 at 8PM - BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1966
MUSICALS OF 1966 will include songs from Sweet Charity, Mame, Cabaret, I Do! I Do!, The Apple Tree and more.

Monday, June 14 at 8PM - BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1990-2010
In this special concert to celebrate their 10th anniversary, an all-star cast will perform one song from each of the last 21 years of Broadway history. The show includes songs from Aspects of Love (1990), Falsettos (1992), Kiss of the Spider Woman (1993), Ragtime (1998), Wicked (2003), Jersey Boys (2005) and many more.

Among the stars signed on to Broadway By The Year®'s 10th Anniversary season are: Cheyenne Jackson (Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu), James Barbour (A Tale of Two Cities), Stephanie J. Block (9 to 5, Wicked), Ron Bohmer (Ragtime), Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Jeffry Denman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas), Max von Essen (Les Misérables), Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow, Young Frankenstein), Alexander Gemignani (Sunday in the Park with George, Les Misérables), KendRick Jones (Stairway to Paradise), Chad Kimball (Memphis), Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Side Show), three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch (9 to 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Tony winner Beth Leavel (Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone), Julia Murney (Lennon, Wicked), Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Noah Racey (Curtains), Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), three-time Grammy winner Lari White and many more to be announced.

Lawrence Zucker, Executive and Artistic Director for The Town Hall said: "The Town Hall is delighted to present the special 10th Anniversary season of Broadway By The Year. The series has such a devoted audience that comes to every show each year. We can't wait to see such classic shows as Kiss Me, Kate, Sweet Charity, Mame, Cabaret performed by amazing talent, including Cheyenne Jackson, Marc Kudisch, Norm Lewis, Christiane Noll, Emily Skinner and many more. I am especially excited to see the final show this year, which is celebrating the last 21 years of the Great White Way. Scott Siegel has created three acclaimed and popular series for The Town Hall: the critically acclaimed Broadway By the Year, now beginning its ninth season, the Broadway Cabaret Festival, and the Broadway Summer Festival. Mr. Siegel also conceived and produces both Broadway Unplugged and The Nightlife Awards at The Town Hall. Scott and his wife Barbara are authors (47 books, including The Encyclopedia of Hollywood) and critics ("The Siegel Column" and "The Two of Clubs" on Talkin' Broadway).

Built in 1921 by a group of suffragettes, The Town Hall began as a lecture hall and public forum for debates. Over the decades, Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Sanger, Billie Holiday, Igor Stravinsky, Bob Dylan and Miles Davis have graced the stage. Today the hall flourishes as a popular, affordable venue, boasting the hottest acts in rock, pop, folk, cabaret, world music, comedy and dance, including Billy Joel, Blondie, Elvis Costello, Natalie Merchant, Graham Nash, Liza Minnelli, Cyndi Lauper, Norah Jones, Andre Watts, Henry Rollins, Joe Jackson, Pink Martini, Regina Spector, Brian Adams, Aimee Mann and Dawn Upshaw. For over a decade, The Town Hall has hosted live broadcasts of Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion. Over the past two-and-a-half decades, The Town Hall has produced a number of new and critically acclaimed musical series, which include The Century of Change, Not Just Jazz, Broadway by the Year® and The Broadway Cabaret Festival.
