Chanhassen Dinner Theatre Honors Community Superstars
In conjunction with Chanhassen Dinner Theatres' acclaimed production of Jesus Christ Superstar, CDT is looking for Community Superstars - twelve local unsung heroes to be honored within our community.
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is asking the public to nominate special individuals who give of their time, talents and more, to others in need. Public Relations Director Kris Howland said, "We know there are many unsung heroes next door, down the street or in your neighborhood, who deserve special recognition. We want the public to help us identify those special people by sending in nominations."
Community Superstars will be awarded with four VIP tickets to include dinner and a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, reserved parking, VIP greeting and personal escort, special stage acknowledgment with an award presentation and plaque. Friends and family of award recipients may attend the event at a specially discounted rate.
Howland continued, "We're looking for nominees who model care and concern in their everyday lives and have touched others by their actions. It might be a teen who has been shoveling a neighbor's walk all winter, or someone who's organized a food drive. It could be a volunteer at a church, a mentor at a youth center, a special coach, or a mother who cares for a disabled child. We're looking for people who make a difference."
Nominations are now being accepted from the public. Simply submit a 500-word essay nomination no later than April 3, 2011 through the CDT website at ChanhassenDT.com or submit your nomination through this Star Tribune web link at http://startribune.upickem.net/engine/YourSubmission.aspx?contestid=28097
