Catonsville’s Heritage Players Honor Military With Their Production of A FEW GOOD MEN, Opens 10/14

By:

Heritage Players, Inc. will present Aaron Sorkin's hit drama, A Few Good Men, opening October 14th at Rice Auditorium in Catonsville. First produced on Broadway in 1989, this military masterpiece of courtroom theatre highlights the unique culture and code of honor within the military. Two Marines are being tried for their alleged involvement in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay. Local director, Katherine Sheldon, brilliantly navigates the play's questions about what it means to have honor, integrity, humanity and patriotism in this story of a young lawyer's decision to challenge the status quo within the military judicial system.

Heritage Players, a philanthropic as well as theatrical presence for over 35 years, will donate a portion of the proceeds from the show to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/), a program that honors and empowers our nation's wounded warriors, raises awareness and enlists the public's aid for the needs of injured service members. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Spring Grove Hospital Patient Fund.

Performances are October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29 at 8 pm and October 23 and 30 at 2 pm at Rice Auditorium at the Spring Grove Hospital, 55 Wade Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. Tickets will be sold at the door at $15 for general admission and $13 for students, seniors, active military, and veterans. Groups of ten or more receive a $2 per ticket discount when purchasing full-priced tickets in a single transaction. Heritage Players is pleased to announce that they are working with GoldStar.com to provide a limited number of half-priced tickets to the public. For more details, call 443-575-6645.
