The all African-American production of Tennessee Williams'
Pulitzer Prize winning play Cat on a Hot
Tin Roof directed by multiple Emmy winner and two-time Tony nominee Debbie
Allen (TV's "Fame," Sweet
Charity, West Side Story) officially opens
on Thursday March 6, 2008 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th St).
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
stars an award-winning cast including the Broadway debut of Academy Award and
Golden Globe nominee Terrence Howard (Hustle
& Flow, Crash), Tony and
Drama Desk Award winner Phylicia Rashad (Gem
of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun,
TV's "Cosby Show"), Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose (Film: Dreamgirls, Broadway's Caroline or Change), and winner of two Tony

"Hypocrisy, greed and secret passions threaten to tear apart
a wealthy but dysfunctional Mississippi
family in Tennessee Williams' stunning American masterpiece. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof searingly portrays
the larger-than-life characters of Maggie 'the Cat,' her alcoholic husband,
Brick, and the domineering family patriarch, Big Daddy," describe press notes.
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof began
performances on Tuesday, February 12. Tickets are on sale through June 22, 2008 at
