'Carnage' Extends thru March 29 at The Actors' Gang

By:

Carnage, A Comedy, The Actors' Gang's raucous satire about televangelism and the state of religion in America, co-written by Adam Simon and Tim Robbins, has extended at The Gang's Ivy Substation home in Culver City.  Performances continue Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 3PM through March 29.

"Carnage, A Comedy follows the ridiculous pilgrimage and ultimate demise of televangelist Cotton Slocum (VJ Foster).  The play's twisted world is rife with survivalists, mercenaries, righteous bunnies, bloody yuppies and ministers calling men to arms," describe press notes.

Also in the cast are Pierre Adeli, Lindsley Allen, Stephanie Carrie, Cameron Dye, Scott Harris, Lauren Oppelt, Sandro Mastrobuono, Steven M. Porter, Chris Schultz, Donna Jo Thorndale and Justin Zsebe.  Original music, performed by the actors, is composed by David Robbins with new elements added by cast member Cameron Dye.

Performances continue Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 3PM through March 29. Tickets are $25.00 on Saturdays and Sundays; $20 on Fridays; and tickets to all Thursday evening performances are Pay-What-You-Can.

The Actors' Gang is located in the Ivy Substation at 9070 Venice Boulevard (near the intersection of Culver and Venice Blvds.) in Culver City. Two hours free parking is available throughout downtown Culver City; the Ince Parking Lot (corner of Culver and Ince) is directly across the street from the theater. In addition, several restaurants (Italian, French, Thai, and more) are only a few blocks' walk from The Actors' Gang and offer a variety of dining options before and after the theater. The Ivy Substation is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible. For reservations and information, call The Actors' Gang Box Office at 310-838-GANG (310.838.4264) or go to www.theactorsgang.com.
