Camp Broadway®, Broadway's Original Summer Camp, and Billy Elliot the Musical are presenting Camp Broadway Dance Track, a week-long dance intensive for theatre loving dancers ages 10-17, featuring classes in ballet, tap, jazz and choreography from hit Broadway shows. The program is being offered for two weeks only: March 14-18 and April 18-22, 2011.

Camp Broadway Dance Track includes 5-days of master classes, professional development seminars and one-on-one coaching by acclaimed Broadway choreographers, dance master teachers and current Broadway performers.  Instructors, along with their most recent Broadway credits, include Charlotte d'Amboise (A Chorus Line, Chicago), Lenny Daniel (Cats, Chicago), Marilyn D'Honau (original casts of West Side Story and Gypsy), Lesley Lockery and Patricia Lockery (Artistic Directors of Dance Makers NYC), Rommy Sandhu (Mary Poppins, Bombay Dreams), Cynthia Thole (Nick and Nora, Meet Me In St. Louis) and Jamie Salmon (Joffrey Ballet Company). Robbie Roby, dance captain for Billy Elliot the Musical, will teach participants choreography from the hit Broadway show. The week culminates in a performance showcase and seminar with a Broadway casting director.

The program also features a theatre trip to Times Square for a pre-show lunch and a ticket to a matinee performance of Billy Elliot the Musical at the Imperial Theatre.

"Camp Broadway Dance Track enables young performers to learn essential skills from experienced and trained professionals," says Sue Delano, Camp Broadway's Dance Director.  "Our goal is to provide good advice on diet/nutrition, instruction on presentation techniques and a safe environment for young performers to express their creativity whether or not they aspire to a career in the professional theatre."

Classes are held Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm, at Pearl Studios, 500 Eighth Avenue, 12th Floor. Space is limited. Tuition is $1,395 (including healthy lunches and snacks, merchandise, ticket and classes).  For more information and registration, visit http://www.campbroadway.com.
