Accoring to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, Caissie Levy will play Molly in the upcoming Ghost musical. Ghost will begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on June 22.

Levy's big break came when she played the role of Penny Pingleton in both the Broadway and U.S. national tour companies of Hairspray after understudying the role in the Toronto company. During this time, she also covered the role of Amber Von Tussle. However, it was a week after graduating AMDA that Levy made a name for herself, playing the role of the sassy Maureen Johnson in the U.S. national tour of Rent.
Levy recently starred as Sheila in the Broadway revival of Hair, which began previews on March 6, 2009 and opened March 31, 2009 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre" href="/wiki/Al_Hirschfeld_Theatre">Al Hirschfeld Theatre. She left the Broadway cast on March 7, 2010, where she was succeeded by Diana DeGarmo" href="/wiki/Diana_Degarmo">Diana DeGarmo, to open the West End revival which began performances April 1, 2010 at the Gielgud Theatre.[ The show recently closed September 4, 2010. Her previous credits include the LA production of WICKED, the natioal tour of RENT, and HAIRSPRAY on Broadway.
Matthew Warchus is to direct a musical version of the Academy award winning film Ghost, scheduled to open in the West End in 2010. Music and lyrics are by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, Oscar® winning Bruce Joel Rubin will adapt his original screen play for the stage and write lyrics, set and costumes designs are by Rob Howell and the musical supervisors will be Christopher Nightingale and Tesse Gohl. Ghost is produced by David Garfinkle of New York's HELLO Entertainment and London producer Colin Ingram in association with Paramount Pictures.
Ghost is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Walking back to their apartment one night, Sam and Molly are mugged, leaving Sam murdered on a dark street. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and unable to leave Molly who he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving and protecting her.
Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film of 1990, Ghost won numerous awards worldwide and is one of the biggest grossing films in the UK. It starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg and was directed by Jerry Zucker. Bruce Joel Rubin's script won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Whoopi Goldberg won the Oscar® for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The film's iconic love scene at a potter's wheel was famously performed to The Righteous Brother's Unchained Melody.
