Stage artists and devoted arts patrons - lamenting how brilliant works of live theatre and music "disappear" after closing - now have a champion in Courteney Lynn Wilds.

Ms. Wilds, a respected operatic & musical theatre performer and prominent business woman has created CVTV: Classical Voice Television. This online station will run a series of channels featuring recorded showings of live works, classic productions resurrected from neglected archives, and new programming including reality-style series and scripted content.

"While stations like Ovation provide a valuable service to the community, there are literally thousands of great works all over the country that need to seen; artists that need to meet a supportive public; and sponsors who would benefit 10-fold from collaborating with these artists and their art" says Wilds, a 20-year veteran of the operatic world and a market research professional for an equal length of time.

Currently, Ms. Wilds is conducting a nationwide talent search; and corporate sponsor solicitation.

Courteney Wilds: Classical Opera & Theatre

Originally from Brooklyn, Courteney Lynn Wilds auspiciously began her operatic and musical theater career studying with vocal professionals whose students appear on the rosters of the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera. Her own credentials include New York City Opera, Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium in Italy, and prominent stints with Hudson Opera Theater (as Madame Lidoine from Dialogues of the Carmelites); and Regina Opera - another training ground for the Met and venues around the world - as a performer and director. She worked extensively with Genesis Repertory, performing Shakespeare and musical theater, adding Othello, Giannini's operatic version of Taming of the Shrew; Richard Strauss' Drie Lieder der Ophelia (3 Songs of Ophelia) as well as a critically acclaimed star-turn as the Nurse in Romeo & Juliet to her burgeoning list of credentials. Ironically, Genesis Repertory has opened a film production unit called SkaldCraft, dedicated to committing off-off Broadway works to film. A collaboration might be in order.

Courteney Wilds: Business Woman

Courteney began her research career on the supplier side with Opinion Research Corporation (ORC International) and the NPD Group where she worked on the telecommunications industry. Among her many honors are the Chairman's Award for Quality and The Premier Award. Leaving the corporate world in 2005, Courteney created CourtLynn Research LLC, a boutique marketing research firm building it into a full service qualitative and quantitative research company, consulting with major Fortune 500 and Honomichle 50 companies. Additionally, she created a successful training division, CourtLynn Academy, which has trained marketing researchers both in the US and abroad on various marketing research topics.

Her first foray into combining her worlds came with The Classical Voice Company. This production company produces semi-staged operas; recital series and now will launch web-based television programming with operatic singing themes as Classical Voice Television or simply, CVTV.
