CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES Plays The Mesa Arts Center 11/3-22
Church Basement Ladies is a hilarious musical comedy in celebration of church basement kitchens everywhere and the unsung women who work in them. Performing at Mesa Arts Center November 3-22, the musical weaves the escapades of four women and their relationships. Led by William Christopher, who played Father Mulcahy in M*A*S*H, the show has become an audience favorite, selling out theaters in Chicago and Minneapolis. Tickets are available through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.
Inspired by the books of Janet Martin and Suzann Nelson, Church Basement Ladies is set in a rural Minnesota church in 1964. The ladies play true "steel magnolias," attempting to solve problems while witnessing the church year unfold. Church Basement Ladies provides the perfect show for friends, church groups and the whole family. Full of good, clean laughs, memorable characters, great music and nostalgia, Church Basement Ladies is fun for all.
