Showtime's CALIFORNICATION will get the Broadway treatment next season, according to TVLine.com. Michael Ausiello writes:  'Hank's going to get Smash'd. That is, a storyline in which his novel gets turned into a Broadway musical might make the Showtime series briefly resemble the NBC series.'

He continues, 'Instead of real "theatre types" hanging around, we'll get aging rocker Atticus Fetch, who's been hired to write the tunes, and Faith, his good girl-gone-bad muse.'

CALIFORNICATION stars Duchovny in his Golden Globe(R)-winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody who struggles to raise his teenage daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone).

The CALIFORNICATION season 5 finale airs April 1 at 10:30pm.
